I feel like this is what we have been talking about for the last two years within my professional circle. What a challenge, but is it really? Isn't it the standard we should always hold ourselves to..."Being Relevant"? Just seems to me it is driven more by technology than in days past. It requires us to get the input of our "customers". It requires us to keep pushing, to keep learning. I'm not sure I know many librarians (or at least I hope I don't) who expect it to be any less and would be bored by a stagnant setting...Let's go 2.0.
In my library, I feel like I'm working hard to move closer to that ever changing goal. I fight having the time to both learn and implement new things in a one person library. One step at a time. I'm hoping to force myself to some changes thorough the 23 things experience.
